1.Literacy Boost Facilitators ( 2)

World Vision Rwanda is a child-focused Christian humanitarian organization implementing development programs in 29 Districts of Rwanda. Our interventions are currently reaching more than 1.5 million people.

World Vision Rwanda seeks to hire highly qualified, dedicated and experienced nationals for the positions of Literacy Boost Facilitators (two) for the Food For Education /Home Grown School Feeding project. The positions will be based in Burera and Huye Districts, reporting to the Literacy Boost Coordinator.

Purpose of the position:

 The Literacy Boost Facilitator will have technical accountability in overseeing implementation of all project activities in their geographical area.  He/she will also play a critical liaison role between World Vision & districts-based education stakeholders including Technical Specialists.  The Literacy Boost Facilitator will be accountable to the Literacy Boost Coordinator for project deliverables.

Mobilization of PTAs, SMCs, SGACs, DEOs, SEOs, volunteers, and other relevant stakeholders etc., and conducting trainings to build capacities on improved education methodologies.

  • Support the DME team in the development of Education programs monitoring and evaluation system, development and/or adaptation of tools, and adoption of the tools.

Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical skills and Experience

The following knowledge, skills, and abilities may be acquired through a combination of formal schooling, self-education, prior experience, or on-the-job training:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Education (Languages), Pedagogy or social sciences.
  • At least 2 years working in education projects.
  • Strong background in pedagogy, or innovating community development
  • Experience in instructional approaches, material development, instructional toolkit preparation, current classrooms organization.
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report-writing and formal communication skills.
  • Must have a valid motorcycle riding license and able to ride.

 Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong skills in networking with Health/Hygiene sector stakeholders.
  • Experience in developing sound proposal and concept notes

2.Health and Hygiene Facilitators ( 4)

Health and Hygiene Facilitators

World Vision Rwanda seeks to hire highly qualified, dedicated, and experienced nationals for the positions of Health and Hygiene Facilitators (four) for the Food For Education /Home Grown School Feeding project. The positions will be based in Kayonza or Gasabo District, reporting to the Health and Hygiene Coordinator.

Purpose of the position:

 The Health and Hygiene Facilitator will have technical accountability in overseeing the implementation of all project activities in their geographical area.  The Health and Hygiene Facilitator will also play a critical liaison role between World Vision & districts-based education stakeholders including Technical Specialists.  He/She will be accountable to the Health & Hygiene Coordinator for project deliverables.

  • Excellent project management skills and good understanding of the project life cycle

3.FLR Project Facilitator – World Vision Rwanda

World Vision Rwanda is a child-focused Christian humanitarian organization implementing development programs in 29 Districts of Rwanda.

World Vision Rwanda seeks to hire a highly qualified, dedicated and experienced national for the position of FLR Project Facilitator. The position will be based at Nyagatare District reporting to the FLR&EGA Projects Manager.

Purpose of the position:

Facilitate the implementation of Forest Landscape Restoration project activities in Nyagatare District and ensuring that program operations are effective and sustainable in keeping with the standards of agreed WVI ministry policies. The FLR Project Facilitator will ensure the implementation of FLR Project activities and their integration within covered World Vision Clusters.




The major responsibilities include:

50% Planning, coordination and implementation

  • Responsible for FLR project planning and implementation in the districts.
  • Coordinate community mobilization and sensitization on FLR, Agroforestry and Environment Conservation,
  • Plan, coordinate and monitor field level trainings of selected project stakeholders and beneficiaries,
  • Conduct regular field visits, according to a calendar to be agreed with the Project Manager, to monitor progress of extension agents’ activities, using and adapting appropriate monitoring tools and guidelines agreed upon with the PM;
  • Develop FLR related Income Generating activities with selected CBOs implementing Forest Landscape Restoration. Assist, support and monitor establishment of Voluntary Saving and Loan Groups (S4T) and other beneficiary groups in the operational area,
  • Participate in Implementation, monitoring of development projects in collaboration with other partners in the operational area
  • Participate in Proposal Writing for Development projects and other Special projects
  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly and annual reports and plans to the FLR Project Manager and Cluster Manager,
  • Participate in community and other partners meetings,
  • Proper use and management of equipment and devices. Provide regular documentation of field activities,
  • District activity implementation plans clearly developed and submitted to Project manager.
  • Increased trees on farm within project areas
  • Training plans and materials are available and approved by project management.
  • Good collaboration between different stakeholders in the district and the project
  • Full alignment between project activities and the district activity plan regarding land restoration interventions
  • Selected schools benefit from the project
  • All project equipment are safely maintained
  • Regular communication and support to project beneficiaries (Farmers)
  • Regular report on income generation, progress and status of Voluntary Saving and Loan Groups (S4T) and other beneficiary groups in the operational area,
  • All equipment and devices are fully utilized, with regular submission of reports on assets as required.
25% Capacity building

  • Coordinate all trainings and capacity building activities to farmers, farmer cooperatives and all partners in the district.
  • Capacity building in tree planting and sustainable management
  • Good quality tree seedlings are timely produced and distributed for planting.
  • Project beneficiaries and farmers in the area practice best practices regarding tree planting and management.
25% Monitoring and Evaluation, Learning and reporting

  • Coordinate all data collection activities
  • Ensure effective documentation of all the information related to the project successes, innovations and promising practices and disseminate through appropriate mechanisms.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports based on agreed formats
  • Regular reporting and quality data available as per agreed standards.
  • Proper documentation of the success stories and best practices is done regularly
  • Monthly and quarterly reports are done timely with lessons learnt provided to inform improvement in the project.





Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical skills and Experience

The following knowledge, skills and abilities may be acquired through a combination of formal schooling, self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in Forestry, Agro-forestry, Community forestry, Agriculture.
  • 2 years’ experience in community development work, agro-forestry, forestry, agriculture, environmental protection, agriculture extension services.
  • The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically up to 100% of the time.
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Kinyarwanda
  • Must have a valid motorcycle riding license and able to ride.

4.Child Protection & Education Sector Lead

World Vision Rwanda is a child-focused Christian humanitarian organization implementing development programs in 29 Districts of Rwanda.

World Vision Rwanda seeks to hire a highly qualified, dedicated, and experienced national for the position of Child Protection & Education Sector Lead. The position will be based at Gakenke District-Buranga cluster reporting to the Cluster Manager.

Purpose of the position:

The Child Protection (CP) & Education Sector Lead will lead, manage and maintain the delivery of cluster‘s technical program to end violence against children and ensure improved literacy for lower grade levels. S/he will work with other sectors to strengthen integrated approaches to achieving child protection and education outcomes, ensuring quality monitoring and evaluation of child protection and education and demonstrating evidence of impact. Her/his role is to ensure that all child protection and education interventions are of a high technical quality to achieve desired outcomes for the most vulnerable boys and girls in Rwanda.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Social Work, and Social Science.
  • At least 2 years working experience in performing the same role preferably within a country office setting.
  • Considerable experience in networking
  • Experience in instructional approaches, material development, and instructional toolkit preparation on Child Protection & Education Programme;
  • Experience in providing technical support to District level education personnel;
  • Ability to work with quality assurance officers, INZU coordinators at local levels, principals, teachers, community partners, and volunteers in Child Protection & Education;
  • Interest and ability to relate positively to children, staff, and parents.
  • Experience and skills in preparing instructional and training materials appropriate to the needs and interests of children, informal or formal structures for Child Protection and education;
  • Ability to implement community participation strategy in the improvement of Child Protection & basic education
