1.Business Development Analyst

About the Position
Position title: Business Development Analyst
Reports to: Chief Business Development Officer
Location: Rwanda
About the Role:
Equatorial Power is hiring a Business Development Analyst to work on project development process across Equatorial Power’s projects. This will entail working with internal and external stakeholders, from the community to financing partners to EPCs, implementation engineer, data sheets of various energy system components and local authorities in areas where the project in being implemented for successful implementation of the project. Furthermore, this role will require knowledge of clean energy access related projects and preferably knowledge of the solar mini-grids in sub-Sharan Africa.
Specific Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Manage project development to project delivery and project transition within defined scope, cost and timeline
- Develop and implement targeted surveys across potential project sites for the purpose of gathering market information.
- Support the environmental requirements to enable appropriate regulatory sign off
- Coordinate activity implementation and follow up with respective Local Government Authorities, CAO, Land officers, District engineers, security agencies, concerned persons and communities for effective implementation of Equatorial Power Projects and Programs
- Gather information through networking and research to understand broader offerings of
- Equatorial Power and awareness of opportunities for partnerships and company growth.
- Facilitate and support the research and identification of funding opportunities, as appropriate.
Qualifications and Competencies
- Problem solving ability.
- Ability to work closely with multiple teams.
- Willingness to learn new technologies.
- Ability to react quickly and positively to complaints.
- Must be able to work in an outdoor environment and be able to work to remote project sites.
- Must have good communication skills in French, English and Kinyarwanda for Rwanda
- Must have good report writing skills.
- Able to use Microsoft word, excel and power point.
- Familiar with data collection through applications
Must haves: Proactive Sales & BD, Willing to travel, some Experience in Economics, Sales, Energy Sector.
Preferred: Interacting with Local Authorities, Scouting Business Opportunities, Good Command of MS Office & Google suite, Hard & Soft skills.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary and benefits are competitive, commensurate with experience.

2.Operations Analyst
About the Position
Position title: Operations Analyst
Reports to: COO
Location: Rwanda
About the Role
Equatorial Power is hiring an Operations Analyst to support the set up of operations on our minigrid sites in Rwanda; working with our team in the community to ensure successful connection of our customers.
Specific Responsibilities
- Preparation of Customer Acquisition: Ensuring all required materials, tools and plans are in place to start customer acquisition
- Establishment of Sites: management of operational preparation during EPC period to ensure site is ready to become operational focusing on customer acquisition.
- Continuous Improvement: Identifying areas for continuous improvement of the customer acquisition process.
Qualifications and Competencies
- Good interpersonal and communicational skills
- Good command over English, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Word, previous work on a CRM a preference
- Excellent organising and coordination skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Diploma/certificate
Must Haves: Face to Face Customer Experience, CRM, Data Management, English, Kinyarwanda & French.
Preferred: Business Partnerships, willing to travel, Polytechnic diploma, Work Experience (Internships-1 year).

3.Maintenance Analyst /Technical Analyst-Implementation

Reports to: Implementation Engineer
Location: Rwanda
About the Role:
Equatorial Power is hiring a Tech Analyst Implementation to work on project implementation process across Equatorial Power’s projects. This will entail working with EPCs, implementation engineer, data sheets of various energy system components and local authorities in areas where the project in being implemented for successful implementation of the project. Furthermore, this role will require knowledge of clean energy access related projects and preferably knowledge of the solar mini-grids in sub-Saharan Africa.
Specific Responsibilities
- Implementation: Responsible for the installation of systems within the agreed deadlines at the quality defined by EP’s standards. Overseeing EPC on technical Health & Safety during the installation phase.
- Operations & Maintenance: Training & leading the O&M team to ensure high reliability, availability and quality of power.
- Appliances & Machinery: Assist in testing, installing and operating appliances/machinery based on EP’s needs and defined by standards and costs.
- Feedback: Continuously providing feedback on the implementation constraints to the implementation engineer and the Design Engineering team on how to improve installations and operations.
Qualifications and Competencies
- Has a solar Minigrid technical background.
- Industrial machinery operation background is an added advantage.
- Problem solving ability.
