Job Description

The major attributions of the Logistician officer:

  • Keep and manage the stock of the Institute;
  • Request the re- ordering of stock items in time to avoid any shortage in inventory;
  • Check the conformity of items delivered and received them;
  • Avail materials authorized to users;
  • Do price survey of the items to be procured and avail the information to the chief budget manager and tender committee;
  • Record the movements of the stock on daily basis by filling stock cards;
  • Keep the register of institute’s assets and update it regularly;
  • Prepare monthly report of the institute’s stock and assets;
  • Keep fuel vouchers and release vouchers authorized by competent authorities to driver;
  • Liaise with transport agencies the transport of staff or students after authorization of the Director of finance;
  • Report the institute’s assets or equipment to be disposed off;
  • Ensure that all institute’s assets or equipment are engraved;
  • Verify regularly the vehicle log book;
  • Work as permanent secretary of asset disposal committee;
  • Do any other tasks that may be assigned to him or her by the Director of Finance and administration.
